An astral projection is neither a near-death experience nor just a lucid dream. Astral projection is the belief that one's consciousness can leave the physical body and travel to other realms or dimensions. While some people may associate astral projection with near-death experiences or lucid dreams, they are distinct phenomena. Near-death experiences occur when a person is close to death or has been declared clinically dead and then revived, while lucid dreams are dreams in which the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming and can often control the dream. Astral projection is a separate concept that involves the belief in the separation of consciousness from the physical body. **

Ultimately, both deaths are equally horrific and tragic. **
